Edoardo Colombi

Motorcycle speed race

Edoardo began his motorcycle journey at the age of 6, competing on minibikes in Italian championships. In 2018 and 2019, he moved up a class and participated in the Italian MiniGP50 championship, consistently finishing among the top spots. Edoardo Colombi's competitive career is proving to be interesting and steadily improving. In 2020, he was among the best in the national PreMoto3 class, earning a place on the Yamaha European stage. For Yamaha, the 17-year-old, born in 2006, rode an excellent Yamaha R3 bLU cRU European Cup in the 2021 edition, impressing with his versatility and riding skills. In the challenging and wet Donington Park round, despite a track he was unfamiliar with, he secured a podium finish, finishing third overall, earning praise from both his rivals and the competition. "Spiattella" continued to perform strongly in the remaining races of the series, and only an injury sustained in Barcellona affected the overall standings. With great willpower, training, and dedication, Edo quickly returned to training in preparation for the upcoming season. In 2022, Kawasaki believes in his potential and has chosen him as a factory rider to participate in the Italian Speed Championship, aiming to compete for the title. Number 13, meanwhile already focused on the higher displacements, will undertake further Italian commitments, both for the near future and for the future. In 2023, he moved up a category to the Aprilia 660 Trophy with the Gradara Corse team, allowing him to better express his natural qualities. He achieved nine podiums in as many races, with three wins, four second places, and a third place, plus three pole positions. The title, won in the Imola round, saw him as a champion capable of using his right wrist and his brain. In 2024, he competed in the sportbike category of the BSB championship upon his arrival in the United Kingdom, still wearing Aprilia colors and with the same team, finishing second in the championship with numerous wins and pole positions at all tracks he had never experienced. In 2025, he was called up by Ducati UK, the TAS Racing team, and MONSTER ENERGY and competed in the SSP600 category, remaining in the British BSB championship. In 2026, he will compete again in the SSP600 in BSB, again with Ducati but with a different team, the MMB RACING team. He will also participate in some wildcard entries in the WORLD SBK championship, again in the SSP600 category.
